National Night Out Martinez Returns August 4 with First Responders,Interactive Demonstrations, Live Music, and Free Family Fun

MARTINEZ, Calif. — More than 1,300 people are expected to attend National Night Out

Martinez on Tuesday, August 4, 2026, bringing together first responders, community

organizations, local businesses, and thousands of residents for one of the area’s largest

free community-building events.

Held from 5:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Martinez Marina Waterfront Park, 245 North Court

Street, Martinez, National Night Out is a free evening dedicated to strengthening

relationships between public safety agencies and the community while celebrating

everything that makes Martinez a great place to live.

More than 50 community booths will fill the waterfront, offering residents the opportunity to meet local organizations, learn about community resources, and interact with the agencies that serve Contra Costa County every day.

This year’s event will feature first responders from throughout the region, including the

Martinez Police Department, Contra Costa County Office of the Sheriff, California

Highway Patrol, East Bay Regional Park Police Department, Martinez Veterans Affairs

Police Department, Contra Costa County Fire Protection District, and many more

public safety partners.

"National Night Out showcases the incredible teamwork among our public safety partners and the strong bonds we share with the Martinez community," said Andrew White, Chief of Police, Martinez Police Department. "It's a night where agencies come together with residents to celebrate collaboration, connection, and our shared commitment to a safer city."

Residents will also have the opportunity to connect with community organizations such as Martinez CERT, Contra Costa County MEDS Coalition, Bay Area Community Resources (BACR), Contra Costa County CAER Group, and many additional nonprofit and public service organizations.

National Night Out Martinez offers hands-on experiences for visitors of all ages. Guests

can watch exciting drone demonstrations presented by multiple law enforcement

agencies, experience search-and-rescue demonstrations, tour emergency rescue

ambulances, sit on a California Highway Patrol motorcycle, climb behind the wheel of

the BearCat SWAT rescue vehicle, and explore numerous public safety displays and

equipment throughout the evening.

Families with children will enjoy a dedicated Kids’ Zone featuring a free petting zoo, face

painting, arts and crafts, games, and other family-friendly activities.

Adding to the festive atmosphere, attendees can enjoy live music from Midnight Flyer, the Bay Area’s premier Eagles tribute band, while sampling a variety of delicious offerings from food trucks serving flavors for every taste.
